No. We are a short-term child care facility. Children may remain in our care up to 4 hours per day and up to 8 hours per week for drop-in child care services. Our preschool program runs from 9am - 1pm Monday through Friday.
Yes! Our Preschool program begins January 2020. Children ages 18 months - 5 years will enjoy our award winning, theme-based curriculum as part of our structured program in a fun, loving environment. Reservations are required for children ages 6 months - 12 months. Reservations are NOT required for children ages 1-12. We accept children on a first-come, first-serve basis until we reach our facility capacity. If you are organizing a large group drop-in we ask for as much advanced notice as possible so we can ensure we are properly staffed upon your arrival. Reservations and pre-payment are required for our School's Out! Day Camp and Mothers' Morning Out Program.
Our drop-in child care service is designed for ages 6 months to 12 years old. Children must be a full 6 months old to visit our Play Center. Reservations required for children ages 6 months to 12 months. Preschool is for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. Our School’s Out! Day Camp is for children ages 5 to 12 years old.
We strive to maintain a 1:7 ratio at all times for children over the age of 12 months. If we find ourselves busier than expected we will activate our employee on-call system for additional assistance.
Kids & Main Drop-In Childcare is a legally license-exempt, short-term childcare facility. Although we are not required to be licensed by the State of Georgia, we must comply with specific licensing rules to keep our exemption status. In addition, we are required to comply with all local and State rules, regulations and ordinances. You will find our exemption documentation issued by DECAL's Bright from the Start posted in our facility. Please notify our staff when you drop off your child if someone other than yourself will be picking up your child. The person picking up your child must know the security code issued at check-in as well as provide a valid government photo ID at pickup. We highly discourage call-in changes, but understand that emergencies happen. In the event of an emergency, you may also call us to request a pickup change by providing the name of the child(ren) and the security code issued at check-in. If you are calling in a change we ask that you be available for callback verification at one of the telephone numbers we have on file for you.
Parties are scheduled in 2 hour increments on Sundays. Click on Calendar then Parties to inquire about your party date/time. Parties require a non-refundable deposit at reservation and must be paid in full prior to the day of the party. We kindly ask for a minimum 2 week notice for parties.
Children ages 6 months to 12 years can visit Kids & Main’s Drop-In Childcare facility up to four (4) hours per day and up to eight (8) hours per week for drop-in services, Parents' Night Out (ages 1-12) and Mothers Morning Out (ages 1-4). Children enrolled in our Preschool program can attend 2, 3 or 5 days per week from 9am until 1pm (Monday through Friday). Children ages 5 to 12 years participating in our School’s Out! Day Camp can visit up to 11 hours per day on the days in which the Day Camp operates.
All children are required to have socks, as we are a socks-only facility. We also recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater. You must also supply all diapers, pull-ups and wipes for your child. If we use diapers and wipes from our facility supply, you will be assessed a small fee for each changing. Socks are available at the counter for $2/pair. Children visiting during Parents' Night Out can dress in freshly laundered pajamas if desired. Please do not bring in toys, electronics or other items that could be lost, stolen or damaged in a child care setting.
Our facility provides one snack to all children present at snack time. Parents/guardians may bring in snacks from home to supplement or replace the snacks provided by the Center. If you child will be in our care during lunch or dinner time, it is recommended that you bring a meal for your child to enjoy. You may also purchase a meal upon check-in for $5. As a reminder, we are a nut-free facility and will not allow nut products to be consumed in the Play Center.
